Crossword tournament in Killingworth

The Killingworth Librarys tournament is a shorter version of the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, featuring four not-yet-published puzzles provided by Will Shortz, ACPT founder and New York Times Crossword Puzzle editor. They range in difficulty from Monday to Thursday. Accuracy and speed will rule the day, but there will be a separate winners category for those who have never competed in a tournament before. If you have seen the movie "Wordplay" about the 2005 ACPT, and always wanted to see what it would be like to compete, this is your chance. Leisurely solvers are welcome to enjoy the afternoon with other puzzlers and the shared solving experience. Seating is limited, register in advance by calling the library at (860) 663-2000, stopping by in person, or emailing [email protected] with your name, address and phone number.
